Research Promotion (RP) is one of the most important active goals that ASHRAE pursues! ASHRAE is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to Society directly, but more importantly donations that come from the Chapters themselves to support research across the globe. The results of the research that ASHRAE provides grants to with these donations is typically used to create, add to, and maintain the information in the ASHRAE handbooks and ASHRAE standards that provide guidance to engineers and entities like the International Code Counsel.

Our chapter hosts an annual golf tournament and other smaller events in order to raise the majority of the money needed to meet our chapter's RP goal set by Society. We also receive some donations from the Committee Chairs of our chapter's Board of Governors and our chapter members as well!
